Lias

This is a project I entered into NEU Disrupt's Fall 2022 semester "Finnovate" contest— an 8 week workshop that helps students build a Fintech project from scratch and at the end pitch for a $5,000 prize. Lias stands for Liable International Asset Swap. People receive or send money internationally often and pay a sizable fee to do so. As a result, I developed a mechanism with the goal of minimizing the costs of international transfers to almost zero for the user, while also making sure the receiving end gets the money instantly (basic run through below). Then I built an app around this idea that makes it as easy as possible for users to send and receive money internationally.
